Chillicothe FFA Barnwarming festivities Saturday included a dance, games, a hay tunnel, and a coronation ceremony.
This year’s 2016 Barnwarming King and Queen are the seniors Brady Bothwell and Kristina Hamilton. It also was described as record-setting in terms of money raised.
Chillicothe Senior Class candidates raised $17,508.60 which is an average of $416.87 per person.
Chillicothe’s Sophomore Class candidates: Carleigh Crawford and Garrett Cramer raised $15,766.24 with an average of $267.22 per person.
Chillicothe’s Junior Class candidates: Marley Anderson and Adler Marshall raised $8,662.00 with an average of $184.30 per person.
Chillicothe Freshman Class candidates: Lainie Cowan and Brock Gott raised $10, 949.57 with an average of $171.08 per person.
Chillicothe FFA raised $52,886.41 this year for the chapters operations, which averages $249.46 per member.
An adviser reported the collective efforts broke the previous record of $ 37,582.52 last year.
The senior class also broke the highest class average at $416.00 per person.
The previous record set in 2011 was $321.00
