Babysitting clinic to be offered in Harrison County

The University of Missouri Extension of Harrison County and Girl Scout Service Unit 816 will present a babysitting clinic for Harrison County youth between the ages of 11 and 15.

The youth will practice and learn various aspects of babysitting during the clinic to be held at the Immanuel Baptist Church of Bethany June 19th from 8:30 in the morning to 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

Topics covered will include collecting information before a job; appropriate care for children of all ages; feeding infants, toddlers, and older children; making healthy snacks and food choices; how to set up a babysitting business; what to do in an emergency; and toy safety. Attendees will receive a bag with items to begin babysitting and a lunch will be provided.

Registration costs $20 and is due by the afternoon of June 8th at 4:30. Interested youth may register by stopping by the Harrison County Extension Office in the courthouse in Bethany and picking up a form.
