President Donald Trump blasted judicial activism during his campaign rally Thursday night in Columbia. President Trump, who was campaigning for GOP Senate nominee Josh Hawley, told the crowd that Republicans favor judges who will interpret the Constitution as written.
The president criticized what he called “the Democrat mob”, referring to the US Supreme Court hearings involving Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
The president also emphasized the economy, saying the nation’s unemployment rate is the lowest it’s been in more than 50 years. Some analysts believe Missouri’s U-S Senate race will determine which party controls the Senate in January.
