A proposed constitutional amendment requiring that Missouri’s conservation sales tax be renewed by voters every ten years will be heard by a Missouri House committee Monday evening.

Brian Hauswirth with Missourinet files this report.

Committee Chairman Tim Remole of Excello tells Missourinet he expects a STANDING-ROOM ONLY audience Monday evening. The bill is sponsored by Representative Mike Moon, who’s from southwest Missouri’s Ash Grove. The Conservation sales tax was first approved by Missouri voters in 1976 and hasn’t been voted on since.
