A groundbreaking ceremony is set for Thursday in the mid-Missouri town of Eldon for a massive 200-thousand square foot manufacturing plant that’s expected to create 300 new jobs.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) says Freeburg-based Quaker Windows and Doors will purchase about 100 acres in Eldon. Governor Mike Parson, Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe, Eldon Mayor Larry Henderson and Quaker’s CEO will hold a press conference Thursday morning at 11. Mayor Henderson tells Missourinet he’s pleased that Quaker will partner with the Eldon Career Center to offer apprenticeships for high school juniors and seniors.
