President Trump’s campaign has confirmed a last-minute pre-election rally the night before next Tuesday’s general election in southeast Missouri’s Cape Girardeau. Mayor Bob Fox is excited over the influx of business activity the President’s visit is likely to bring, especially to local restaurants.
Mayor Bob Fox is ready to roll out the red carpet for the Commander-in-Chief.
Mayor Fox thinks the primetime 9 p.m. Monday appearance on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University will be a boon for local restaurants.
According to Fox, the other Presidents to visit Cape Girardeau are William Howard Taft, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton. Trump is expected to stump for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Josh Hawley who is in a tight battle with incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill for the seat.
