The incoming superintendent for the Trenton R-9 School District believes in educating students to pursue careers and skills that they need.

Mike Stegman has been a Superintendent in Kansas for over 20 years for three different communities – currently at Cimarron, Kansas where they have one building Kindergarten through 6th grade and another for 7th through 12th grade.

During the KTTN interview, Stegman talked about how the education mission in Kansas and Missouri has changed over the years.

On another topic, Trenton R-9 patrons will vote April 2nd on what’s being promoted as a “no tax increase” bond issue that would authorize nearly $7,000,000 in building projects. If approved by voters Stegman will be at the helm to guide the proposed projects involving the Trenton school district.
