Now that the snow has been cleared from much of the roadways, the Missouri Department of Transportation is changing its focus.

Over thirty tons of patching material were used on Wednesday (1/29/2020) in the central district alone, around Jefferson City and Columbia, to repair potholes created over the last few weeks. As temperatures continue to go rise and fall, water seeps into small cracks in the pavement and freezes, causing those cracks to swell. Motorists should be on the lookout for crews over the next few days before the snow comes back.
