The Missouri Department of Corrections says law enforcement officers and state troopers are searching for an inmate who walked away while on work release in southeast Missouri.

Police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are helping in the search. The K-9 unit from Farmington Correctional Center has been dispatched, and the Corrections Emergency Response Team (CERT) has been activated.
