Multiple activities are planned for youth during the Sixth Annual Cops and Kids Fishing Event next month.

The free event titled “Cops ‘N’ Bobbers” will be held at the North Central Missouri College Barton Farm Campus Pond June 2nd from 9 o’clock to Noon and Lieutenant Police Chief Rex Ross discusses the activities that are planned.

The National Wild Turkey Federation will also provide lunch to participants and Ross says participating youth will be eligible to win prizes.

Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult with youth age 16 and older required to have a Missouri fishing permit.

Sponsors for the event include the Missouri Department of Conservation, the National Wild Turkey Federation, and the NCMC Barton Farm Campus and Ross notes there are several local sponsors as well.

Ross adds that if there is inclement weather involving lightning in the area the day of “Cop ‘N’ Bobbers”, it will be rescheduled. However, if it is just lightly raining, the event most likely will still be held but that decision would be made the morning of the event.
