The general public is invited to join students from Princeton and North Mercer schools Wednesday, October 26 to attend a presentation by the Awaken Project. The anti-drug use message is told in a personal story and music.

The free event begins at 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in the Princeton school gym.

Professional drummer Jeff Mozingo is one of the presenters of the Awaken Project. He describes his role as that of a live rock concert with a music education message about students making choices about their future:

After viewing a presentation at a drug court conference, Associate Circuit Court Judge Matt Krohn invited the founders of the Awaken Project to the third judicial circuit which includes Mercer, Grundy, Putnam and Harrison counties:

In making arrangements for the Awaken Project to be in Princeton, Judge Krohn received support from the Princeton school district including Counselors Doctor Kristin Henke and Lori Puls, the Princeton city councils’ band tax, and the Healthy Living Coalition that includes staff of the Mercer County Health Department.
