Area residents will perform in “Savior of the World: His Birth and Resurrection” in Richmond, Missouri next month.
The Far West Missouri Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints presents the production that depicts Biblical accounts of the events surrounding the birth and death of Jesus Christ.
Savior of the World will be performed at the Farris Theatre at 301 West Main Street in Richmond the nights of November 15th and 16th at 7 o’clock and the afternoon of November 17th at 2 o’clock.
Assistant Director Cheryl Polson of Polo says this is the third year the production has been in the area. Her family watched the performance last year and loved it. She and her family would have auditioned for this year’s production if she and her husband had not been asked to direct it.
Jerry Rahm of Gallatin plays Mary’s father in the first act of Savior of the World and Simon in the second act. He says his and his family’s involvement in the production last year helped strengthen their personal relationship. It also helped him get a better understanding of Jesus Christ and his own family as well as the relationships developed around his birth and death. Rahm calls his involvement a “beautiful experience”.
Tickets for the production cost $5 for general seating and $8 for premium seating. Tickets may be purchased online at THIS WEBSITE or at the door of the Farris Theatre the day of the performance.
