Area FFA teams compete in Columbia judging events

Several schools in the area had teams compete recently (Saturday) in FFA judging events in Columbia. Teams from Milan, Gallatin, and Cameron were among the first-place winners.

Milan had a team that took top honors in FFA knowledge. Members Jara Sanchez and Kendra Sayre finished first and second individually.

Gallatin had a team win first place in forestry. The top two individual judges from Gallatin are Emma Christopher and Abigail Burns.

Cameron FFA ranked first in entomology, with team members Victoria Polley and Carissa Stuedle placing first and second, respectively.

Among other results from the Columbia judging, Meadville was second in meats and entomology, plus third in floriculture; Trenton was third in ag sales; Gallatin took fourth in the nursery category. Milan was fourth in entomology. Cameron had teams finish third and fourth, respectively, in poultry and meat judging.

The FFA competition in Columbia involved 12 career development events.
