Area FFA members recognized at FFA Convention in Indianapolis

Several FFA members from area chapters have earned national proficiency awards in various categories. Recognition of the award winners occurred this week during the 91st annual FFA Convention in Indianapolis.

From the Trenton chapter of FFA, Hannah Persell received a gold award in wildlife production and management. Mariah Fox received a silver award in agricultural education.

From Chillicothe FFA, there are three national proficiency award winners. Liberty Cox received gold in small animal production and care; Cameron Moore received gold in equine science, and Lane Peters received the silver award in specialty animal production.

Milan FFA member Katie Stafford earned a gold award in agricultural services. Gallatin FFA member Addison Burns received a silver award in agriscience research plant systems.

Among others: Austin Sweiger of Maysville received gold in ag mechanics repair and maintenance. Madelyn Derks of King City received silver in the proficiency category for diversified livestock.

This area also boasts four National Chapter Award, three-star winners which include Trenton, Chillicothe, Brookfield, and the Braymer FFA Chapter.
