Applications open for Northeast Missouri Livestock Person of the Year

Applications are being accepted for the 2020 Northeast Missouri Livestock Person of the Year Award for an individual who has made a significant contribution to the livestock industry in Northeast Missouri and/or beyond.

The applications are open to Northeast Missouri counties, including Linn, Putnam, Sullivan, Adair, Macon, and Schuyler. Eligible applicants can be livestock producers, agribusiness or agency personnel, agriculture researchers, or long-time supporters of the Northeast Missouri livestock industry.

The selected applicant will become a member of the Northeast Missouri Livestock Producers Hall of Fame, be inducted at a ceremony at the Missouri Livestock Symposium in Kirksville December 4th and 5th, and receive a hand-painted 20 by 24 framed oil portrait with a plaque.

Applications must be received by the afternoon of May 1st at 4:30 and may be found online on the Missouri Livestock Symposium website or at the Adair County Extension Center in Kirksville.
