Ambassadors “old time band” to perform during Calamity Jane weekend in Mercer County

One of the regular performing groups during Calamity Jane weekend in Princeton, the Ambassadors Band, has other appearances scheduled in Mercer County.

The Ambassadors old time band hold their annual practice concert on the homecoming stage in Mercer tonight, 6:30 to 7:30, weather permitting. The Ambassadors band performs tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock at Newtown-Harris School and will perform on a float in the Princeton school homecoming parade Friday at 2 o’clock.

Saturday performances for the Ambassadors begins with the Rotary Club breakfast at 7 a-m in the basement of Princeton United Methodist Church. The band has a 9 o’clock Saturday morning performance at Pearl’s Two Residential Care in Princeton.

Other performances will be during the Calamity Jane parade Saturday afternoon and at the all-band concert on the east side of the square which follows the parade. One other presentation for the Ambassadors old time band will be what’s called a memorial concert at the Princeton Christian Church at 2:30 Saturday afternoon. All performances are open to the public at no charge.

It’s reported the Ambassadors Old Time band has performed at Calamity Jane Days in Princeton for around 40 years.
