A single-vehicle accident early Monday morning in Daviess County injured a resident of Altamont, who was later arrested.

Twenty-four-year-old Devin Hall received serious injuries and was taken by emergency medical services to the Liberty Hospital.

The car driven by Hall was northbound on Interstate 35 when it traveled off the east side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned coming to rest on its top in the passing lane of I-35 one mile west of Winston.

The highway patrol accused Devin Hall of driving while intoxicated: aggravated offender; failure to comply with ignition interlock; no license; failure to drive in a single lane of a highway; no insurance; and no seat belt. Hall was released for treatment at the hospital.

The car was demolished and the report noted Hall was not using a seat belt.
