A Caldwell County accident yesterday afternoon injured an elderly man from Bevier.
The highway patrol listed injuries as serious for 83 year old Richard Thorsen who was flown to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.
He and a large truck were westbound when the truck slowed for smoke coming across Highway 36. The patrol reports the truck was hit in the rear by Thorsen’s pickup.
The pickup was demolished while there was minor damage to the larger truck in the accident four miles west of the Route K junction – west of Breckenridge.
