7-year-old Trenton boy hit by car

Police report a Trenton boy was injured early Sunday afternoon when struck by a car on a Trenton street.

The police report indicates injuries were moderate for seven year old Braeden Henricks of 601 West 13th Street. Police said he was treated at the scene by emergency personnel then transported to Wright Memorial Hospital of Trenton.

Police report a car driven by 69 year old Betty Campbell of 13152 West Crowder Court was westbound on 13th street, approaching the intersection with Wiggins, when a child ran across the street. The front of the car hit the child.

Police quoted the driver and passenger, 68 year old Marshall Campbell of the same address, as saying they could not stop the car in time.

Other witnesses confirmed to police officers that the child had ran into the street.

No citations were issued.
