An additional 61 absentee ballots were cast Monday at the Grundy County Clerks’ office in advance of today’s general election bringing the total to 383 absentee ballots to be counted. Another 19 absentees were requested but had not yet been returned to the clerks’ office at the courthouse in Trenton.

The total number of Grundy County absentee ballots is considerably more than the 218 cast for the general election four years ago in 2014. However, it’s considerably fewer than the 569 absentees cast two years ago in Grundy County when it was a presidential election year.

Polling locations are open until 7 o’clock tonight across the state.

KTTN-FM will have live election coverage beginning after 7 o’clock. You can also listen to our online streaming of the broadcast on our website. Tonight’s coverage will include reports from the Missourinet news department as well as Fox radio news.
