3-vehicle crash in DeKalb County injures Cameron woman

Three vehicles were northbound Monday in DeKalb County when one began to slow down, then it was struck from the rear, and in turn, that one was hit in its rear.

The highway patrol said 26-year-old Gena Sistanich of Cameron received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. No other injuries were reported to the other drivers: 32-year-old Charity Brown of Cameron and 38-year-old Dustin Kahrl of Pea Ridge, Arkansas.

The accident happened on Highway 33, one mile to the south of Maysville, just before noon on Monday.  After impact, the sports utility vehicle driven by Charity Brown to spin 180 degrees.

Damage was moderate to the middle car driven by Sistanich, minor to the Browns’ sports utility vehicle and for the Kahrl van.

The highway patrol was assisted by Dekalb county sheriff’s department and numerous first responders.
