3 hurt in Saturday night accident south of Spickard

Three persons were hurt late Saturday night south of Spickard when a car overturned and hit a concrete barrier.

20-year-old Kiersten Allen of Browning, and 25-year-old William Grimes of Kansas City, were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital at Trenton with moderate injuries.

19-year-old Tristan Vencill of Trenton also was taken to Wright memorial with minor injuries.

The accident happened about four miles south of Spickard on Highway 65. The patrol reports it was not immediately determined who was driving the northbound car.

The car went off the right side of the road, the driver over-corrected, the right rear of the vehicle hit an embankment, the car overturned several times, hit a concrete barrier, and came to rest on its top, demolishing the vehicle.

None of the three persons injured was wearing a seat belt.

The accident remained under investigation.
