Sergeant Jake Angle of the Highway Patrol Troop H reports an Orrick man was arrested after a vehicle pursuit on U. S. Highway 36 in Caldwell and Livingston counties Tuesday night.

Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox reports two deputy sheriffs from the sheriff’s office assisted the Highway Patrol in the pursuit. He says the Highway Patrol used spike strips on the west side of Livingston County, which punctured at least one tire of the suspect vehicle. The officers from the sheriff’s office used a spoke strip about a mile west of Chillicothe, but the suspect vehicle drove over them and continued east. Cox reports the suspect vehicle came to a stop east of Chillicothe, and a male occupant fled on foot with several officers following.

A Highway Patrol arrest report shows 25-year-old Dakota Harth Spor was arrested on a Jackson County felony warrant for failure to appear for dangerous drugs.

The Patrol also accused him of felony resisting arrest by fleeing and of the misdemeanors of driving while revoked or suspended, failure to register a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain lane.

Harth Spor is being held at the Caldwell County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
