2 Trenton men arrested on unrelated charges

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two Trenton men on unrelated charges Thursday.

The sheriff’s office arrested 38-year-old Jeromy Romesburg on two counts of misdemeanor passing a bad check.

His bond is $1,500 cash only, and he is scheduled for the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court Tuesday, September 12.

Court documents accuse Romesburg of passing a check for $227.89 drawn upon First Missouri Bank payable to People’s Coop as well as passing a check for $199.19 drawn on the Home Exchange Bank payable to Orscheln knowing neither would be paid.

The Trenton Police Department arrested 43-year-old Erick Wattenbarger for failure to appear.

His bond is $15,000 cash only, and he is scheduled for Division One of Circuit Court October 12.

Wattenbarger’s original charge was felony operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license, third and subsequent offense.
