Two women from Mercer were injured when the car they were in struck the rear drive axle of a truck on southbound Interstate 35 in Daviess County in a Thursday afternoon accident was eight miles south of Pattonsburg.
The highway patrol listed injuries as minor for the driver of the car, 58-year-old Gay Stark and moderate for a passenger, 77-year-old Nancy Stark. Both were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center. The Volvo truck was driven by 26-year-old man from Niles, Illinois (Bojan Milivojevic) who wasn’t hurt.
The report noted the car was demolished with minor damage to the truck and all occupants were wearing seat belts.
