St. Joseph man injured in crash south of Bethany; patrol accuses him of DWI

A St. Joseph resident was injured late Monday night in a single-vehicle accident four miles south of Bethany.

Twenty-nine-year-old Tyler Travis was northbound when his sports utility vehicle went off the east side of Highway 13. Travis over-corrected as the SUV went back across the road and off the opposite side coming to a stop upright.

Travis was taken by ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany for treatment of moderate injuries.

It was unknown whether Travis was using a seat belt. Vehicle damage was minor.

The highway patrol accused Tyler Travis of driving while intoxicated, operating a vehicle without a valid license, and failure to maintain to the right half of the road.  He was released for medical treatment.
