A class will be held in Brookfield to prepare sixth through eighth-grade students to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.
The instructor-led Safe Sitter class will be at the Linn County Health Department on December 30th from 9 am to 2 pm. The class will include games and role-playing exercises. Students will use mannequins to practice skills like choking rescue.
The fee for the class is $30.00 and lunch will be provided.
