Lindsey Batson, an A+ student from Princeton, MO, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for December 2021. Lindsey is a sophomore working toward her Associate in Arts degree. After graduating in May from NCMC, Lindsey plans to transfer her associate’s degree to the University of Missouri-Columbia to obtain a degree in sports management.

Lindsey is an athlete on the NCMC women’s softball team and residence assistance for the women’s dorm. She is also involved with the Digital Media Team. Lindsey’s favorite class has been Art Appreciation with Instructor Jim Norris. Lindsey said, “I liked learning about artists and the history behind each painting. I enjoy art, and the class was really interesting to me.”

Lindsey went on to say, “NCMC is a great place for a smaller college feel. I came from a small high school, and it was very comfortable for me to attend NCMC. It’s been the right move; I’ve met some of my best friends at NCMC.”

Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on their dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning, and hard work in their field and activities.
