Grundy County sales tax collections finished up for the year in general revenue, ambulance, and law enforcement compared to 2020. Each fund is at more than $528,500, which is an increase of about $28,900 from last year or about 5.8%.
Collections for each category for this December were around $59,700. That is almost $3,700 more for each than what was collected in December 2020.
There were four months in 2021 that the county sales tax received was lower than the same months in 2020. Those were April, July, October, and November.
Each Grundy County fund has a half of a percent sales tax.
