No Parking Sign

Chillicothe Police have announced streets with “no parking” restrictions to accommodate what’s expected to be a large crowd tonight for the funeral of longtime Chillicothe Mayor and civic leader Chuck Haney. A shuttle service also has been arranged.

Chillicothe Police are asking vehicles be moved by 4 o’clock this afternoon and remain off the street until approximately 10 o’clock tonight for the 1100 block of Trenton Street, the 300 and 400 blocks of JFK Avenue and for 10th street; as well as the 1100 block of Easton Street. These locations have been designated “no parking” zones for the Haney 5:30 funeral held at Saint Columban’s Catholic Church.

Chillicothe Police reported there will be secondary parking for guests at the old Hedrick Medical Center property off Broadway between Central and 11th Street. There also will be overflow parking at Danner Park which is 14-hundred Trenton Road.

Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples also reports three churches are donating vans to shuttle people to and from the funeral location. These include vans being provided by First Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, and Highview Baptist Church.
