Kirksville police are confirming one person dead after an early morning shooting.
Police responded to 710 West Elizabeth street at 2:29 a.m. Saturday morning in reference to a report of a subject shot with a firearm.
Police arrived, spoke with several witnesses and gathered information and evidence.
It is confirmed that the victim is a 27-year-old man from Brookfield. The name is being withheld pending notification of family. The incident remains under investigation.
