An informational meeting regarding Wallace State Park south of Cameron is Saturday night, August 6, at 7 o’clock at the enclosed shelter house.

Park staff members are to present information about the park and answer any questions. The Public is also encouraged to attend with their input and comments.

The meeting is part of ongoing efforts by Missouri state parks to ensure the public has input on the services and facilities in state parks and historic sites.

Missouri state parks are supported by the 1/10 of 1% state sales tax for parks, soils, and water purposes. Missouri state parks say the tax accounts for about 75% of the budget to repair, improve, and maintain state parks and historic sites.

Missouri state parks are a division of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
