(Washington Missourian) – According to an article in the Washington Missourian, (http://bit.ly/2gC626n) the pickup truck of a northwest Missouri man who has been on the run with his son for more than a week was found Tuesday in Washington, Missouri.

Detective Sgt. Steve Sitzes confirmed that officers located the truck Tuesday morning in Shamrock Trailer Park off East Eighth Street. Police impounded the truck.

However, the father, Anthony D. Davis, 32, and his son, Seth Davis, 7, have not been located in this area, Sitzes said Tuesday afternoon.

They have been the targets of a statewide search since they went missing early this month.

The two were last seen during a custody exchange at the Walmart store in Chillicothe, in northwestern Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The man was supposed to return the boy to his mother on Sunday, Dec. 4, but never showed up, the patrol said.

The father’s cell phone was pinged in the Washington area Dec. 6 and 7, according to the patrol.

Sitzes said police here searched for the pair and the man’s vehicle, a dark red, 1998 Dodge Durango, but did not find them.

Police later received information that the truck was seen last Saturday, Dec. 10, at a local recycling business. They identified the man driving it and went to interview him on Tuesday, Sitzes said.

“He (Davis) supposedly sold it to the guy here last week,” Sitzes said.

The Washington man who bought it told police that Davis then left with another man in a pickup truck, but he didn’t see the boy in the truck.

Police arrested the truck buyer after finding some drugs in his trailer, Sitzes said. They were going to question him again later Tuesday in hopes of getting more information.

The patrol issued an endangered missing person advisory after the boy was not returned to his mother.

Anthony Davis is described as a white male, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

The patrol said the endangered missing person, Seth Davis, is a white male, age 7, about 4 feet tall, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anthony Davis suffers from a mental health issue and is believed to be off of his medications, according to the patrol.

Anyone with any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Gallatin Police Department at 660-663-9512.
