Two people are hurt when a sport utility vehicle crossed in front of a car at Highway 36 and Highway 33, one mile north of Osborn.  The driver of the SUV, 65-year old Fay Anderson of Nebraska City, Nebraska, was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, with what the Highway Patrol called moderate injuries.  The driver of the car, 30-year old Matthew Ausberger of St. Joseph, refused medical treatment for minor injuries.

The accident was Friday afternoon, occurring as the Anderson vehicle was northbound on Highway 33 and failed to yield to Highway 36 traffic.  The Anderson SUV was struck on its passenger side by the Ausberger car, as he was traveling westbound on Highway 36.  The SUV, as the result of the collision, hit a utility pole and embankment.

Both vehicles had extensive damage.  Both people were wearing seat belts.
