Trenton City Hall will be the location of two committee meetings Thursday evening and both meetings, with members of the city council, are open to the public.

A 5:30 meeting of the economic development committee will include a review of a contact with the North Central Missouri Development Alliance. The city of Trenton and its municipal utilities collectively have budgeted $40,000 toward economic development.

At 6 o’clock, the utility committee will have its first meeting of the city’s fiscal year.  The discussion is planned on as many as eight topics. Members of the utility committee are the chairpersons of the administrative, finance, and economic development committees of the council.

The first item is the election of a chairman for the utility committee.  Other topics include rental contracts regarding utilities; work at the power plant; work on a substation generator; and an update on the fiber optics request for qualifications.

Other subjects slated for discussion are information technology, SCADA issues; north substation fuel tanks; wastewater plant improvements; and an update on water plant projects at Trenton.
