Two hurt in northeast Missouri crash

Residents of Marceline and Novelty were hurt Saturday morning when the vehicles they were driving collided at a curve in northeast Missouri.

69-year-old Becky Sportsmans of Marceline was transported to Samaritan Hospital at Macon with moderate injuries, while 63-year-old Myrna Franke of Novelty was taken by

Private vehicle to the hospital in Macon minor injuries.

The accident happened on Highway 151 just south of the Hagers Grove community in western Shelby County as Ms. Franke was southbound in a van and Ms. Sportsmans was traveling north in a car when they met at a curve. The van crossed the center of the road hitting the car in the northbound lane.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged and both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
