The highway patrol reports 73-year-old Paul Allis of Esterville, Iowa was flown by medical helicopter to Truman Medical Center of Kansas City.

The patrols’ report indicated Allis had it called moderate injuries.

He had been westbound with the truck entering a curve. Allis failed to negotiate the curve and the driving unit traveled partially off U-S 36. The the driver over-corrected causing the truck to go off the right side of the highway where it overturned.

The patrol said Paul Allis was wearing a safety device.
