Plans are being made for a scavenger hunt as local efforts continue to raise funds for the Trenton high school bands’ participation in the Thanksgiving parade in Houston, Texas.

On October 29th, what’s called the “Trenton Super Spook” event will be held, and includes a potato bar by Trenton Band Boosters at 5 o’clock in the THS commons. The scavenger hunt begins at 6:30 pm.

Teams of up to six individuals, one of whom must be at least 21 and the vehicle driver, will be given a list of clues to search for throughout Trenton. When a clue is found, the team will take a “selfie” with that clue and submit it, then look for the next clue on the list. The team that submits the most “selfies” and returns back to the THS commons before 8 pm will be named the winner.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.

Because this event is held near Halloween, teams are encouraged to dress in costume. Prizes also will be awarded for the best dressed overall team, the funniest team and the most creative team.

There’s an entry fee of $40 per team if signing up by Saturday, October 22nd.  After that date, the fee goes to $50.
