Trenton Police Department responds to call concerning bodies in vehicle

Officers with the Trenton Police Department responded to McDonalds Restaurant at 1861 East 9th street in Trenton at 10:30 Saturday night July 16, 2016.

Upon arrival, officers contacted witnesses indicating the discovery of bodies inside a running vehicle.

Witnesses at the scene informed officers that an adult female and a child in the vehicle were unresponsive. The passenger side window of the vehicle had been broken to gain access, and the two individuals in the vehicle were deceased.

The bodies were transported by Grundy County Coroner Dewayne Slater, where an autopsy is pending. No cause of death was rendered at the scene.

Authorities with the Trenton Police Department do not suspect foul play.
