A Trenton resident, 30-year-old Aaron Michael Perez, was arrested on misdemeanor charges stemming from an incident last Friday.

Perez faces charges of resisting a lawful detention and assault in the fourth degree of a special victim. Bond is $2,500 and Perez is to appear June 27th in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court.

The warrant accuses Perez of refusing commands of law enforcement officers who were attempting to make a lawful detention. Perez also is accused of spitting and kicking on sheriffs’ deputy Tyler Anderson, and police officers Ethan Wyant and Keith Vance.
