Among the needs identified by the Trenton 2020 Community Bettement program, nearly a year ago, were obtaining an events and/or community center and a recognized hotel chain facility.

During a 2020 meeting this week, Trenton Community Development Director Ralph Boots indicates he has been working on a hotel chain, and is seeking funds to conduct a hotel feasibility study:

Boots indicated there is interest in seeking a hotel with nightly rates ranging from $85.00 to $100.00:

The 2020 meeting followed Boots’ attendance on Monday night at a North Central Missouri College advisory meeting:

A variety of other topics were discussed at this week’s Trenton 2020 meeting.  Among them, Scott Blair of Professional and Leaders Uniting Grundy County spoke about his organization’s interest in seeing sidewalk conditions improved city-wide:

Blair also spoke about the painting of “bulldog paw prints”, raising money for community projects:

Recycling bins are also being considered.  Blair is President of the Green Hills Recreation Association, which he mentioned during the meeting.
