Several appointments to boards and commissions were recommended by the Mayor and then approved by the Trenton City Council at a meeting last night.
Terms are expiring this month for several persons who serve on eight different boards.
Appointed to the Trenton Tree board was Shana Norris who joins re-appointed members, Venna Hicks and Wenda Seymour. The mayor said he’d like to have tree farm owners Bill and Susie Bear serve as consultants to the tree board.
Re-appointed to the park board were Gary Berry, Sarah Allen, and Lynda Lynch.
Re-appointed to the building and nuisance board was Stan Lowrey.
Rich Hattesohl was re-appointed to the planning and zoning commission and to the board of adjustments.
Re-appointed to the airport advisory board were Dyle Wilson, Gary Shields, and Gary Hooyman.
Re-appointed to the tax increment financing commission were Ann Constant and Greg Geib The Trenton R-9 board of education is to recommend someone to represent it on the TIF commission.
Re-appointed to the historic preservation committee was Diane Lowrey.
Mayor McHargue said he’d like the Grundy County Museum board of directors to appoint a member to serve on this committee.
