The Trenton City Council’s Administrative Committee is recommending no changes in the city ordinance relating to rental housing inspections, which are required when there’s a change of occupancy.

The inspection fee is $35.00, with any re-inspections within the calendar year of January 1st through December 31st being charged ten dollars.

The city had been requested to make the time period for re-inspections one year after the last inspection instead of using the January 1st to December 31st basis, which can result in more required inspections if there’s a change of occupancy.

Eight landlords attended the committee meeting, which was about 35 minutes long.
