An Eagle Scout ceremony was held Sunday at Melbourne Baptist Church to honor Dakota Cutsinger of Boy Scout Troop 97 in Trenton.

For his Eagle award, Cutsinger built an enclosure for trash disposal at the Melbourne Baptist Church. He also removed rock from a play area and replaced it with shredded tire. Plastic tubing was used to create a boundary for the play area.

Dakota is the son of Corie and Marcie Cutsinger of rural Trenton.

Sundays’ ceremony was conducted by Dr. Paul Cox, Dr. Andy Cox, Warren Woodson, Kevin Bailey, Pastor Derek McMurty and Brother Richard Riser.

Shaun McCullough is the Scoutmaster.
