Trenton and Milan FFA judging teams take 1st place in competition

Trenton and Milan had FFA judging teams captured first place in the North Shelby Contest Day events on Wednesday.

Trenton took top honors in meats judging at North Shelby among 34 teams.

Highly-ranked members of the meats team were Jayden Roeder and Hannah Persell – first and second; Cole Schilling was fifth and Emily Kasinger was seventh.

Milan won first place in the livestock judging with Princeton placing second.

Gallatin finished in a tie for third place among 46 high school teams.

Individually at the North Shelby livestock event, Kamron Stephenson of Milan placed first; Klayton Lynch of Gallatin was second, Kenna Michael of Milan took third. Among others: Payton Goodin and Soyer Wimer from Princeton were sixth and ninth; Clayton Moore of Milan placed eighth.

The Northwest Missouri District career development events are scheduled next Tuesday and Wednesday at Maryville.
