A three vehicle accident, around the 6:30 hour on Wednesday morning, has taken the life of 55-year old Michael Parman of Lathrop.  The Highway Patrol’s report indicates that the accident occurred as a vehicle being driven by 35-year old Michael Sell of Holt was heading uphill and eastbound on Route PP, near the city limits of Holt, when he crossed the center line of the road with Parman traveling downhill and westbound, on the same road.

The Sell vehicle collided with the Parman vehicle, with the Parman vehicle, after the initial collision, sent into the eastbound lane, where it was struck on its passenger side by a eastbound vehicle, operated by 28-year old Rachel Tatro of Lathrop.

Four people involved in the accident had injuries described as minor by the Highway Patrol.  They were identified as two of the drivers (Michael Sell and Rachel Tatro) and two children who were passengers in the Sell vehicle (six-year old Henry Sell and five-year old Georgia Sell).  All of the injured were taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.

The report indicates that Michael Parman and Michael Sell were not wearing seat belts.  Rachel Tatro and the Sell children (Henry and Georiga) were wearing safety devices.

Michael Parman of Lathrop was pronounced dead at the scene by Clinton County Coroner Kathleen Little.  The Highway Patrol received assistance at the accident scene from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, and the Lathrop Police Department.
