A Stewartsville resident was hurt Saturday afternoon when the sports utility vehicle she was driving went off a road north of Stewartsville, hit a ditch, and overturned ejecting her from the vehicle.
55-year old Mary Starr was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
The accident happened one mile north of Stewartsville on Route N as the northbound SUV went off the right side of the road, crossed back to the left, veered off the left side of the pavement, hit a ditch, and overturned coming to rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The patrol reports Starr was not wearing a seatbelt.
