The Spickard City Council met briefly Monday night hearing a presentation about steps needed in connection with a sewer project.

The discussion also included the need to increase sewer and water rates as soon as possible.

On another topic, the council received a request from Frank Felder that the city have more participation in Spickard fall Festival. It was noted the city is not in charge of the festival, but pays the electric bills at the fairgrounds and pays to have the fairgrounds mowed as part of its contribution.

It also was noted the fair board is in charge of the Spickard Fall Festival.
