The Spickard City Council has approved 5% increases in water and sewer rates and a $.25 month increase in the trash service charge.
The new rates are effective immediately.
Those wishing to run for Spickard Mayor or the city council in April should obtain paperwork at city hall.
The filing period in Missouri is December 13 through January 17
