Spickard Board of Education approves bids

The Spickard Board of Education has approved several bids with Ferrell Gas to provide propane at nearly eighty-seven cents per gallon.

MFA will supply diesel fuel and gasoline at two cents below the pump price with Anderson-Erickson to provide dairy products.

Clevenger and Associates were approved to perform district audits during a three-year period. The charge is $3,500 the first year, $4,000 the second year, and $4,500 in the third year.

The board voted to use Missouri School Boards Association teleconference services for speech therapy during the upcoming school year. The charge is $65 an hour.

School Secretary Kelli Girdner was approved to be the board secretary.

There is still a vacancy on the Spickard Board of Education. Persons wishing o be appointed to the position should fill out an application at the school.

Classes begin August 17th at Spickard with an open house at the school the evening of August 16th from 5:30 until 7 o’clock.
